Dravidian Distance Education University
Dravidian Distance Education University was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 1997. The university was established through a Legislature Act (No. 17 of 1997) with the initial support extended by the governments of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
It aims to the development of Dravidian languages and culture. The university has evolved a lot and today it has 20 academic departments and 6 research centers.
The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Dravidian University provides an opportunity to those unable to pursue higher education through regular mode.The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) imparts quality education to the students through graduate and postgraduate courses in faculties of arts, commerce, science, and management.
