BSc Hons Biotechnology Admission is an undergraduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology deals with the combined study of the concepts of chemistry, biology, and cell biology, and computer sciences. The students learn various topics such as molecular biology, tissue culture, agricultural engineering, fisheries, genetics, gene therapy, drug design, genomics, proteomics, and genetic engineering for plants, animals, micro-organisms, bioinformatics, fermentation technology, and medicine. In a broad sense, we can say that it is a combined study of biology and technology. The duration of the course is three years and the complete syllabus of the program is divided into six semesters. This course is a Carrier oriented course, Needs to possess intricacies general knowledge regarding these subjects. students need to clear the entrance test, which is held at the various institutes. Based on the final marks score off the entrance test and the higher secondary class’s marks score, the student’s admission is done.

- Those candidates who have passed their Intermediate or HSC (12th class) examination from a recognized Board in the science stream are eligible for the course.
- The percentage criteria may vary depending upon the institutes. Generally, Students having 50% marks in the Intermediate or HSC (12th class) examination are eligible.
