About GBPUAT Exam:

  • It is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology based in Uttarakhand and therefore called the GBPUAT.
  • This exam offers entry to both the Undergrad as well as Postgraduate courses. But entry to the M. Tech course in this University is done based on the aspirant’s score in GATE as well the B. Tech graduation score.
  • The exam is conducted on different dates with respect to being Undergrad or Postgraduate level but will be in the 1st week of June itself.

GBPUAT 2021 Application form:

  • The registrations for this exam commences by the 2nd week of February, with the deadline being the last week of March.
  • The application forms are released online, which the aspirants will have to fill and take a printout of the confirmation page.
  • Once you have taken a printout of the form’s confirmation page, you need to attach all the required documents with it and mail it by post to the University at the address mentioned on the website. Remember that mailing the hard copy of the form is mandatory to successfully register for the exam.
  • However, the application form fee must be paid online via net transfer or credit or debit card. The fee is Rs. 1200/- for the General and OBC category and Rs. 600/- for the SC/ST category aspirants.

GBPUAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

To be able to attempt the exam, ensure the following:

  • You need to be a domiciled resident of Uttarakhand if you wish to pursue your UG or master’s course while for other courses like MCA, M. Tech, and Ph. D., other state’s students are also allowed.
  • For undergrad courses, the aspirant must have passed their class 12th board exam with their subject choice of study being Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics concerning the course they opt for.
  • The class 12th board exam must be passed by a recognized institution.
  • You may check the eligibility criteria in detail with respect to every course per your choice given on the official website.

GBPUAT 2021 Exam Pattern:

  • The paper gets divided into three paper codes depending on the course and subjects you opt for PCB (01), PCM (02), and PCA (03)
  • The paper will have 200 Multiple-Choice Questions with a division of 4 sections in each paper.
  • The sections are namely- Mental Agility (30 questions), Physics (50 questions), and Chemistry (50 questions) as common ones for all and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture (70 questions) with respect to the subject group opted for.
  • The maximum marks for the exam are 600; therefore, three marks get awarded for each correct answer and a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
  • The questions will be asked both in English and Hindi.
