Jexpo and Voclet Exam 2021: West Bengal has numerous reputed polytechnic colleges. The colleges conduct worthy campus interviews. A lot of students choose diploma engineering as their career. They aspire to take admission in the polytechnic colleges of West Bengal. This two examination s are the gateways to study there. West Bengal Council of technological Studies (WBSCTE) conducts two different admission tests for diploma courses. The students, who want to pursue a diploma in engineering should crack two entrance examinations named JEXPO and VOLET. WBSCTE organizes both of these.

When you want to take admission to the first year, you have to qualify JEXPO. If you want to gain lateral entry to direct 2nd year of diploma engineering, then you have to crack VOCLET. There are two ways to take admission in the polytechnic course. Either you can take admission after you complete your 10th standard or you can join polytechnic after your higher secondary examination.

Application Procedure for Polytechnic Joint Entrance:

  • WBSCTE regulates those entrance examinations. You should follow their official website to get the detail about the examination.
  • This website will help you to know when the application releases.
  • The board charges an application fee. For online form filling, the fee is five hundred. The students, who will apply offline, will pay 450 INR. The students, who receive the leverage of the “Kanyashree Scheme”, will get a recession of half of the application fee.
  • The students from the minority will get no recession on the application fee.
  • You can fill up JEXPO and VOCLET forms online and offline.

How to Apply Online?

  • You will get a link on the website.
  • Go through the link.
  • Fill up the registration form by providing the right information.
  • After you fill up all the gaps, you will get the application form.
  • Upload your image. Don’t forget to make sure that your image is attested and it meets all the instructions that are asked in the form.
  • Submit your application charge via card or net banking.

How To Apply Offline?

  • You have to go to the WBSCTE building. You may collect your form from here.
  • Fill up the form carefully. Never miss any gap.
  • Do not input any wrong information.
  • Submit the form to the clerk of WBSCTE. You should submit your application fee along with that.

Eligible Criteria JEXPO and VOCLET Exam: 

  • Here is good news for you. JEXPO hasn’t restricted any upper limit for the age of the aspirants. Age is not an issue here.
  • Participants should score a minimum of 35 percent in their class 10th board examination.

Who are the Eligible Participants to Appear on VOCLET?

  • VOCLET has no certain upper age limitation for the participants as well.
  • Students should fulfill any of those requirements.
  • The student should pass the +2 vocational courses that are affiliated with West Bengal Government.   
  • The students who have passed ITI with the secondary examination are accepted.
  • The candidates, who have appeared in the examinations that are mentioned above, can apply.
  • They should do it only when they are confident that they will meet the requirements.
  • For both JEXPO and VOCLET, candidates have to be Indian citizens.

Exam Pattern of JEXPO and VOCLET:

The maximum features of the patterns of these two entrance examinations are similar. Let’s talk about the similarity first.

  • This examination paper strictly follows the 10th and 12th board syllabus of the West Bengal board. Maximum questions are taken from the textbooks of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
  • This examination strictly follows the offline mode. You have to reach the exam center and write your answers with a pen and paper.
  • You will get 100 multiple choice questions here.
  • The time limit is two hours.
  • You will get the question papers in both Bengali and English.
  • There will be negative marking. The examiners will deduct 0.25 marks for one wrong answer.

JEXPO is based on the 10th syllabus. VOCLET is based on the 10th and 12th syllabus. JEXPO candidates will get three question papers on Physics, chemistry, and mathematics with 50 marks for each subject. VOCLET candidates will get 5 question papers on Physics, chemistry, computer science, mechanics, and mathematics with 20 marks for each subject.
