Details of Law Entrance Exams

  • CLAT Entrance Exam: CLAT or Common Law Admission Test is one of the most important law entrance tests as it covers the whole country in terms of law colleges. It is 200 multiple choice questions with each question containing 1 mark. You have 2 hours to complete your paper. Also, for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. This exam is purely online. If you have at least 45% in your qualifying exams, then you are eligible for CLAT. The reason why you should prefer CLAT is that every college asks you for your CLAT score and based on the score, you get your seat in the respective college.
  • AILET Entrance Exam: The All India Law Entrance Test comprises of very limited seats and happens at The National Law University, Delhi. Due to the limited number of seats, the exam becomes quite difficult as the number of aspirants is in great amount. Beware as every wrong attempt in the exam will lead to negative marking, so think before you answer. But if you managed to score more than satisfactory rank in this law entrance test, then be assured of getting one of the best law colleges in India. You have to complete this exam in 1 hour 30 minutes and you have five sections to attempt.
  • LSAT Entrance Exam: Law School Admission Test is one of the whole law exams for students pursuing Law. The exams happen in May every year. To test the ability of the candidate, he/she has 2 hours 20 minutes to complete and go through 3 sections. The positive thing for students is that there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The LSAT score holds great value for college admissions.
