The counseling for MBBS and BDS through NEET 2021 is going to start soon as the result of NEET-2021 has been declared. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Director-General of Health Services (DGHS) is conducting NEET Counselling-2021 for All India Quota seats. There would be centralized counseling for 15% All India Quota seats. Counseling for the rest 85% of the seats will be conducted separately by states participating in NEET-2021. The counseling will be conducted in online mode. 13000 aspirants will be given admission in MBBS and BSD colleges through All India Quota seats.

NEET Counselling 2021:

The tentative date of counseling is June 2021. Successful candidates can participate in NEET-2021 Counselling after the registration for the counseling process. The counseling for all the government a few private MBBS and BDS colleges fall under All India Quota seats and private, central, and deemed universities with some state government colleges are the part of State Counselling. NEET Counselling 2021 for 15% All India Quota seats:

Admission to all the government and some private medical and dental colleges is given to the aspirants through All India Quota seats. Due to political reasons Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu, and Kashmir are not participating in the NEET-2021 All India Quota Counselling. Therefore colleges from all of the above-mentioned states are not open for admissions through All India Quota seats. These states will provide admission in their colleges through State Counselling.

NEET 2021 State Counselling:

Admission to private, central, and deemed universities which are affiliated to state government is given through NEET 2021 Counselling. 85%  of the seats fall under state counseling, conducted by the education department of the state. 

Here state will conduct commonly centralized counseling for admission in all the medical and dental colleges located in that particular state. CBSE will be a responsible body for conducting and forwarding the merit list for each state and Union Territory.

The process for 15% of all India quota seats are mentioned below:

  • Reporting at College after the first round of counseling

NEET Cutoff 2021:

Here a Cut off list under 15% of All India Quota seats is given, declared by the NEET 2021 and CBSE. Candidates whose marks are equal to or above the cut-off marks can take part in the counseling process.

Guidelines of NEET Counselling 2021 (Registration Online):

Qualified candidates have to register online themselves as the initial process of counseling. During this step, the candidate will be asked to fill in some details such as their personal information, such as roll number, all India rank, and percentile score. After the registration process, the candidates will get the username and password in their registered email id or mobile number.

Choice Filling & Locking:

In this step, candidates will have to fill their choice of preferred medical and dental college. Candidate can change their selected options before locking their choices. If the choice is locked by the students they can not change it later.

Round 1- Seat Allotment Process:

 The candidate will be allotted college and course as per their preference. Seat allotment is based on the candidates’ AIR rank.

Round 1- Counselling Result:

When the seat allotment process is finished results for round 1 of NEET 2021 counseling will be published online. The result will be in the form of pdf form comprising the state’s name, institute name, branch, category, and total seats.

Reporting at allotted medical and dental college against the 1st round of counseling:

After the seat allotment candidates have to report to the allotted college within the stipulated time.

NEET 2021 Documents required:

It is mandated to bring all the required original documents under any circumstances. If a candidate is unable to produce the original documents his/her admission will be canceled. Following is the updated list of the documents.

  • Admit Card/Hall Ticket of NEET 2021
  • Result of NEET 2021
  • Matric Certificate (for the date of birth proof)
  • Class XII certificate
  • Passport size 10 photographs (same as affixed on the application form)
  • Identity proof
  • SC/ST proof certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)
  • OBC certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)
  • Physically Handicapped Certificate issued by the medical authority as mentioned in NEET 2021 prospectus (if applicable)
