What is NERIST NEE 2021? How students can apply for this exam?

The NERIST NEE 2021 is an entrance exam. It conducts for admission in 03 different programs in the field of technology and forestry. The North Eastern Region Institute of Science and Technology is conducting authority for this exam.

The NERIST NEE conduct for admission in 03 programs named as the Base Module or Certificate course, the Diploma module, and the Degree module. All programs offer in the field of technology and forestry.

North Eastern Region Institute of Science and Technology conducts NERIST NEE every year. NERIST is also going to organize NERIST NEE-2021.

NERIST NEE 2021: The North Eastern Region Institute of Science and Technology or abbreviated to NERIST, conducts its entrance exam known as NEE, to offer admission to its programs of 3 level or courses namely, the Base Module or Certificate course, the Diploma module, and the Degree module in the streams of Technology, and Forestry.

About NEE:

Should you qualify for the NEE, you would automatically become eligible for admission to the NERIST for the different course programs according to the exam you attempt. The NEE is divided into different parts, depending on the subjects. 

  • NEE I for Base Module or the Certificate Module
  • NEE II for Diploma in Engineering and Technology (Technology stream)
  • NEE II (Vocational) for Diploma in Engineering and Technology (Vocational) stream.
  • NEE II also for a B.Sc. degree in Forestry 
  • NEE III is for the B. Tech Degree (Technology stream)

Application fee:

  • The application fees for NERIST NEE are Rs.1000 for all categories
  • The payment of the application fee will be online.

NERIST NEE Admission Process 2021:

For the admission process follow these instructions:

Step 1: Register for NERIST NEE 2021

If you want to take the exam, the first thing you have to do is the registration. You can easily register yourself by going to their website and click on the registration. After that fill the form and submit it.

Step 2: Download NERIST NEE Admit card

Just go to the website and search for the examination and after providing your application number you can download your admit card.

Step 3: Appear for the NERIST NEE entrance exam

You have to be on time on the exam day. Appearing late can destroy your all hard work.

Step 4: Check NERIST NEE exam result

Usually, the result of NERIST NEE will be uploaded on the website after a few days. Once the result is announced you can check by going to the website and enter your credentials.

Step 5: NERIST NEE Counseling

The students who managed to clear the cut-off will get the call. Selected students must come to the counseling because you’ll be going to select your courses.

NERIST NEE Exam Pattern 2021:

  • The mode of examination will be online.
  • The test will consist of 15 marks for all sections.
  • There are different papers according to the type of course. These papers are NEE I (Base module), NEE II for diploma in engineering and technology, NEE II (Vocational stream), NEE II (BSc Forestry), NEE III (B-Tech degree).
  • The exam will have different Subjects and distribution of marks for various courses.
  • NEE-I (Base module) will include 80 questions in Mathematics, 35 from the chemistry & physics portion.
  • NEE-II for diploma in engineering and technology will include 60 questions of Mathematics, 45 from Chemistry and physics.
  • NEE-II (vocational stream) 30 questions from mathematics, 25 from physics and chemistry, and a vocational subject of 70 marks.
  • NEE-II (BSc Forestry) will have 60 questions of biology, 45 of Physics and chemistry.
  • NEE-III with 25 questions from physics and chemistry, 70 questions from branch subject, and 30 from Biology.
  • 03 hours will be the total time allowed to solve the paper.
  • The wrong choice of the answer will include a 0.25 negative mark.

NERIST NEE Preparation Tips 2021:

  • Make a daily basis time table for preparation
  • Solve sample and previous year papers
  • Prepare the exam according to the topics described in the syllabus.
  • A mock test also can be attempted to check your preparation level.
  • Taking care of health during the preparation period is very necessary.

NERIST NEE Application Form 2021:

The application forms filled online are released on their official website online.ac.in. The arrangements generally published in the 2nd week of January, with the deadline of submission being the 4th week of March. You must ensure that you follow the instructions carefully and adhere to them while filling the form. The good thing about filling the application form for NEE is that you can fill it in parts according to your convenience, given that you submit it before the deadline. 

Ensure that you attach all the necessary and required documents along with the application fee of Rs. 1000 for the general category candidates and Rs. Six hundred for the SC/ST/ PWD category candidates, to be paid online. 

The admit card is then released online around the 1st week of April, with the exam shall be conducted in the 3rd week of April.

Examination Pattern of NERIST NEE 2021:

The NEE is an offline paper-based exam of multiple-choice questions for maximum marks of 150 to be attempted in 3 hours. Each category has a typical pattern of 1 mark for each correct answer and a negative marking of 1/4th for every wrong answer. The different types of NEE, as explained earlier, have different subjects and pattern as below:

NEE I ( Base Module of Technology stream)

Three divisions of sections, namely Physics (35 Marks), Chemistry ( 35 marks), and Mathematics (80 marks). The mathematics section is further divided into 30 questions of 1 mark each and 25 questions of 2 marks each. 

NEE II (PCM)

Three divisions of subjects: Physics (45 marks), Chemistry (45 marks), and Mathematics ( 60 marks). The Physics and Chemistry sections are further divided into 25 questions of 1 mark each and ten questions of 2 marks each for both the sections. The Mathematics section has 30 questions of 1 mark each and 15 questions of 2 marks each. 

NEE II ( Vocational) 

Four sections, namely Physics with 25 questions of 1 mark each, Chemistry with 25 questions of 1 mark each, Mathematics with 30 questions of 1 mark each and a Vocational subject with 70 marks divided into 30 questions of 1 mark and 20 questions of 2 marks each.

NEE II (PCB)

Three sections of subjects namely Physics (45 marks), Chemistry (45 marks), and Biology ( 60 marks). The Physics and Chemistry sections are further divided into 25 questions of 1 mark each and ten questions of 2 marks each for both the sections. The biology section has 30 questions of 1 mark each and 15 questions of 2 marks each. 

NEE III 

Four sections, namely Physics with 25 questions of 1 mark each, Chemistry with 25 questions of 1 mark each, Biology with 30 questions of 1 mark each and a Branch subject with 70 marks divided into 30 questions of 1 mark and 20 questions of 2 marks each.

Eligibility Criteria of NERIST 2021:

Each category of NEE has different rules, as follows: 

NEE I 

Candidate should have passed class 10th board examination with individual passing in Science and Mathematics 

NEE II ( PCM) 

Should have passed class 12th board examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subject choices 

NEE II (Vocational)

Should have passed class 12th with any of the vocational subjects as a subject choice of study

NEE II (PCB) 

Should have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subject choices.

NEE III

Should have passed a Diploma Course from any Government recognized institution with a minimum of 60% marks.

NERIST NEE Results 2021:

The results are declared online around the 2nd week of May, which the candidates can access through the official website by entering their credentials. The counseling rounds start shortly after, and the allocation of seats according to merit is done.
