WB D.El.Ed Exam: The State of West Bengal annually allows persons to receive state certification in Elementary Education in the form of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or the DELEd. The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (or the BPE) is the Government’s Education Department responsible for conducting the WB DElEd Admission process every year.

WB D.El.Ed Exam Eligibility Criteria:

The WB DElEd Admission has a minimum requirement that all candidates must have achieved a percentage of at least 50% of Marks in their 12th Standard Board Examination from an accredited institution.

Nevertheless, some candidates seek admission into vernacular language-medium colleges such as Hindi-medium, Bengali-medium, Urdu-medium institutions. For such candidates, the WB DElEd requires that they achieve at least a pass mark in the relevant language subject for their 12th Board Exam.

Similarly, for admission into English-medium colleges, candidates must show that they have secured a pass mark in the subject of English in their 12th Board Examination.

WB D.El.Ed 2021 Application Procedure:

The entire application process for the WB DElEd Admission 2021 is online. Candidates can register themselves on the official website by entering their necessary personal information & academic details into the online portal.

Candidates will be required to submit relevant documents, including matriculation certificates, photographs,s and identity certificates.

Aspirants must submit the correct certificates about their identity, domicile, and reservations. The WB BPE will verify these documents during the Admission & Counselling process.

The Application Fee is Rs. 300 for General Category candidates. Reserved Category candidates, including In-Service & Ex-Servicemen, have to pay Rs. 150.

WB D.El.Ed Result & Counselling Process:

Upon the Publication of Results, the WBBPE will conduct the Admission & Counselling process. Candidates will have to register themselves on the online portal and appear for the Counselling sessions. WBBPE conducts this process online and offline to ensure efficiency in the seat allotment.

During this process, Candidates are required to submit their choice of institutions and produce valid documents, as mentioned in their online application. These documents include Govt. ID, Matriculation Certificates, Reservation Certificates, etc.

Please note that if a candidate is found to have submitted false, incorrect, or misleading information concerning themselves or any documents, their application and admission will be canceled.

WB D.El.Ed Exam Seat Allotment:

The distribution and availability of seats at the DIETs are subject to whether the institution is Self-Funded or Govt. Funded. Nevertheless, all institutes are required to follow the All India and West Bengal general guidelines on reservations.
