The Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication (HJUJMC) was established in 2012 through an Act of the Government of Rajasthan and offer postgraduate courses in Journalism and Mass Communication. It is named after former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Haridev Joshi. In March 2017 a repeal bill for the closure of the university was introduced to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
