Tata Institute of Social Sciences Distance Education popularly known as the TISS was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in the year In 1944. TISS is a private institute situated in Mumbai, Maharastra. In the year 1964, the Institute was declared as Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956. Since its inception, the university has been engaged to be an institution of excellence in higher education that continually responds to changing social realities.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Admission to MA course: The candidate wish to apply admission of MA course, then Candidates should have completed their Graduation degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University is eligible to apply admission for this course.
- Admission to PG Diploma: If students want to take admission for the PG Diploma course then candidates should have passed Bachelor degree or it’s equivalent in relevant discipline from a recognized University is eligible to apply for admission PG Diploma course.
- Admission done basis of Entrance Test, the entrance test conducted TISS NET and pre-interview. written test, GD and Personal Interview.
Application Process of TISS 2019:

- Click the button of Apply Online option and Register.
- Fill the all required and correct details in the application form.
- Pay the application fee online through such as Credit card/Debit card or through Net-Banking.
- apart from that application fees can also pay through challan along with Bank Processing fee of INR 50 in any of the branch.
- After completed all the process submit the duly filled application form after uploading the all required documents.
