RBU Admission 2025-26: Quick Facts

• RBU Admission forms for BA Hons (Semester 2) for session 2025. The endmost date for application is 13 April 2025.
• RBU University has started the 4th MFA in the Visual Arts department Semester admissions and fee submission; the last date is 13 March 2025.
• RBU will release the application form for admission to their courses on 24 June 2025. (Tentative)
• The application fees for all the UG and PG programs are 350/- rupees.

RBU is going to commence the admission session in 2025 and for which the application forms will be released on 24 June 2025. These application forms will be released online, and students will have to download or print these using the website via the link www.rbu.ac.in. 

All students are advised to submit their forms before the deadline, as the process will be closed at the start of July 2025. Once the application process is done, students will have to prepare for the entrance exam. 

From the official RBU webpage, admit slips will be downloaded as this slip is important for entering the exam hall. These hall tickets will be provided on 1st July 2025. It is expected that RBU will conduct the entrance exam on 5 July 2025, and the instant result of this exam can be checked through the answer keys released one day after the exam.

A completely compiled result of the entrance exam or the merit list will be soon published after the exam on 16 July 2025. The candidates selected from the list will proceed to further admission formalities.

It is important for the aspirants at UG and PG levels to pass the entrance exam to pursue admission. Besides the entrance exam, an equal weightage is there for the previous qualification of candidates. RBU has set eligibility criteria according to which anyone who applies for UG admissions must have passed the intermediate with a minimum score of 50% from a known institute.

As in the case of PG admissions, the criteria of eligibility are also based on having 55-60% marks in the last examination of bachelor’s level. It is mandatory to have a UG degree that is relevant to the course you have applied. For the UG courses, classes will begin in September 2025 and for the PG course in October 2025.

• The university conducts counseling for seat allocation to students in their desired programmes
• Equally, for UG and PG aspirants, passing the exam is mandatory.
• In these admissions, 50% of seats are allocated for Kolkata students.
• RBU will take the entry exam, and for detail, students can ask the administration.

RBU UG Admission 2025

The registration for UG courses at RBU will start soon for sessions 2025. BA, B.Ed, BA Hons, B.Li.Sc, BFA, and  B.Ed.Spl is offered for Graduate degree studies. Students are required to complete their intermediate studies, and there are various specializations available for the students that can be chosen for admission. 

The academic procedure is through merit scores, and there is no entrance examination for the UG programs. The application fees for all the UG programs are 350/- rupees.

RBU BA Admission 2025

The university will soon start accepting the application form for admission to the Bachelor of Arts course. Students can apply through the online portal 2025 provided by Rabindra Bharati University. The course lasts for a duration of 3 years. It is an undergraduate degree that can be pursued by a 12th-passed student with a minimum of 50 percent marks. The 12th qualification must be from any recognized board.

RBU PG Admission 2025

The master’s programs at Rabindra Bharati University are the most pursued for students, from singing to literature and writing courses for admissions. The Masters of Arts programs are available with various specializations for the students. Students can take up any of the programs after completing their Graduation degree program. The admission intake is through merit scores, and the registration fee is around 350/- rupees.

• MA: Master of Arts at RBU is offered in many specializations or topics. Students who graduated in a relevant discipline from a recognized institute can enroll in these RBU MA programs. Admission will be granted based on marks in UG degree examinations.
• MFA: Master of Fine arts, this 2-year PG course is provided by the faculty of fine arts at Rabindra Bharati University. Those who have a degree of BFA or BVA are eligible to apply. Specializations like Painting, Sculpture, Applied arts & more are offered with the MFA course at RBU Admission. 

Rabindra Bharati University PhD Admission 

The registration process for Ph.D. programmes at Rabindra Bharati University will commence in August 2025. The website for submitting the application form is www.rbu.ac.in. Students’ research-level education at RBU is determined by their performance on the entrance exam. PhD CET 2025 will be administered for RBU PhD admission for the session of 2025.

• The applicant has to come out with the originals (documents) at the time of Rabindra Bharati University admission.
• No admission shall be allowed in two concurrent degrees (Except diploma/certificates)
• Any wrong information shall result in the cancellation of an RBU application form.
• For provisional admission, the RBU shall publish a merit list.
• Self Attested mark sheets, certificates, and other mandatory documents along with the admission form will be submitted online.
• The RBU document upload window shall accept recent passport-size photographs in color.
• The signature requires uploading in color as well.

Stage A

Step 1: Visit the Rabindra Bharati University admission portal 

Step 2: For fresh admission, press the button that appears in the middle as “Student Login For Admission”

Step 3: Click upon “New Online Admission” and enter the student’s name, father’s name, date of birth, mobile number, and email id for registration 

Step 4: Use a valid/unique email and mobile number for RBU online registration 

Stage B

Step 5: Log in to your RBU admission account

Step 6: Pick up the programme, course study, & subject

Stage C

Step 7: After making your choice on courses and subject, one must proceed to complete the rest sections positioned on the dashboard

Step 8: Personal, academic, and other information shall be needed to add to the RBU admission form.

Step 9: Save the RBU admission form, and proceed to the document upload tab

Stage D

Step 10: Photo and Signature of student require to be in Jpg/Jpeg format

Step 11: Blur images shall not be considered for approval by the RBU

Stage E

Step 12: RBU online application form can be submitted by making a fee deposit

Step 13: Pick either Debit, Credit, or Net Banking for RBU online application deposit

Step 14: If an applicant missed the fee deposit at the time of filling the RBU online application form, then they might look upon the option appearing in the “Login” as “Fee Payment”
