Types of IELTS Exam

Steps to Book IELTS Exam Dates and Location

• Go to the official website of the IDP India.
• Click on the option of “Register for IELTS”.
• Select your preferred mode of IELTS exam, i.e., computer-based or paper-based.
• Select the type of IELTS exam that you want to give, i.e., IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, or IELTS for UKVI. Be very careful while selecting the module.
• Select your desired test location and city.
• You will be shown the possible dates for your selection. Choose a date and time slot.
• Fill out the essential information and submit your online application.
• Pay the IELTS exam fee of INR 15,500.
• You will receive a confirmation email/phone call once the test has been booked.

How to Reschedule the IELTS Exam Date?

In case you need to reschedule the IELTS exam date, you can do so by meeting a few requirements which include:

• In case you wish to reschedule your IELTS test date more than five weeks before the exam date, you will be issued a refund. The refund will, however, not include an administrative fee.
• In case you wish to reschedule the test date within five weeks before the exam date, you will not get a refund unless you provide a medical certificate.
• In case you submit a medical certificate within five days from the IELTS exam date, you will get a refund excluding the administrative fee.

Before picking an IELTS exam date, it is crucial that you consider the university application deadline as well as the amount of time you would have to invest in preparing for the exam.
