The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has notified for the recognition status given to the students who got admission between 17 October 2017 and 12 February 2018. This decision came after hearing the plea of students for the recognition of 36 PG diploma programs that were removed from the recognition status by the government.
The students who took admission into the course in the session 2017-18 were stressed about the status of their course as the government removed the course’s status in that session only.
While releasing the notification the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS) said “You are therefore requested to give this a wide publicity so that the students concerned could get benefit of the decision of the government of India”.
The education ministry of India received a representation from the concerned students about the issues they are facing due to the status removal of all the 36 PG Diploma courses. There were a total of 466 students who were facing the issues as they were even unable to get admission into any other course.
“It is decided by taking in concern the future of students that all these qualifications stand recognized for all the students who got admission in the courses between 17 October 2017 to 12 February 2018” ministry’s official letter.
