Vinoba Bhave College was founded in 1992. The divisional headquarters of the state of JHARKHAND’s North Chhotanagpur division. It is 100 kilometers from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. Vinoba Bhave University teaches and conducts research at the postgraduate level in Physical Science, Life Science, Earth Science, Social Science, Humanities, Commerce, Technology, and Medical Science.
The University also manages and maintains 22 colleges, including St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh, one of the oldest and most well-established colleges in Eastern India (Established 1899).
In addition to the above-mentioned subjects, seventy affiliated colleges also provide undergraduate education in all the subjects mentioned above, as well as in law, education, homeopathy, and Ayurvedic medicine. Every year, about 900 students graduate with their B.Tech, 4000 from general courses, 550 from professional or vocational courses, and 500 from postgraduate courses including the MTech. The degree is being awarded. The program has produced more than 400 Ph.D.’s since its inception.
Vinoba Bhave University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university provides numerous programmes for Postgraduates (PG) and undergraduates (UG), such as BEd, BTech, MA, MSc, BA, BBA, MS, MD, and more.
