Annamalai University files a petition against UGC, as UGC has instructed that students should not take admission to Annamalai University. As the notification is affected the university and the downfall of admission is harming the educational journey.
A few days back students have been advised that the distance mode of study at Annamalai university is not appropriate and students should avoid taking admission to this university. The petition is also spoiling the university’s reputation.
The claim of a non-valid university came up in one of the notices circulated by UGC on 25th March that stated that distance admission is not approved by UGC and so students should not initiate any admission at this university.
This notification has centred the attention of the director of Annamalai University and in reply, the petition is filed against UGC for creating doubt about the validity of the degree of Annamalai University.

The fight between UGC and Annamalai is not new it is ongoing from 2014-to 15, the court has not granted any decision, also the university each year applies for the approval and in return, UGC never accepted nor rejected the approval.
The thing that makes a student to have a step back from not enrolling in the university is that the decision can be in favour of UGC and if it ever happened then the educational journey of the students will be wasted.
