Play School or Home Care

Play School or Home Care: Early childhood education refers to the care and knowledge provided to a child between zero to five years. Even the top play school offers similar services to children to develop their social and physical development.

As per the ECCE, the Indian education board encourages parents to enroll their children in the play school. It is because children who start their education process early are likely to achieve higher academic grades and physical development.

Consequently, it is seen in states like Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, where there are higher numbers of doctors and engineers. Thus, highlighting the fact that play school or day care can help children.

Subsequently, there are home schools in India where children learn in the comfort of their homes. As per the Act of Right to Education, 2009, teaching children in-home care is legal.

Pros of Play School

There are some advantages of Playschool. Here are a few of them –

  • Improves Social And Emotional Development

One of the advantages of playschool is children’s social and emotional development. The teachers teach children in such a way that they learn how to think and interact with others.

They teach empathy and ways to interact with other students and form a sense of friendship. Further, a child will increase their self-confidence and self-esteem with social development.

Emotional development allows them to express their emotions and also manage their reaction to something. This way, children become emotionally intelligent.

  • Math And Literary Skills

As preschool goers are full of energy, they are also full of curiosity. They look to ask questions against what they see and seek to solve problems.

Thus, it makes the perfect time to teach mathematics, as numbers are a good way of brainstorming critical thinking to solve various equations.

The same goes for literary skills. Top play schools introduce children to various poems and prose, which can arouse their interest in literature. This can increase their creativity and their control over language.

  • Physical Development

As children are full of playful energy and seeking to engage in active activities, play school offers them the platform. They can play under the sun, which benefits physical wellness.

They will get the necessary nutrients and help expand their muscle, which is critical for their physical growth.

Besides playing outdoors, they also learn about the physical environment and the things in them—birds, animals, trees, and so on.

Cons of Play School

Besides the advantages, there are also disadvantages of playschool. Here are a few of them –

  • Learning Too Early

One of the disadvantages of playschool lies in their forceful way of introducing children to learning and reading.

There is a certain age when children start to understand different things about maths, literature, and science. If we force that threshold, then it can lead to reducing the interest of children in the process of learning.

Hence, it will become more parents to teach and develop their children. As a parent, allow your children to develop their sensory motors and enroll them in school.

After analyzing Playschool, let us understand –

What Is Home Schooling?

Homeschooling refers to education that is taught in the familiar environment of a home. It aims to build friendly relationships with children rather than putting them into conventional ways of education.

In India, homeschooling is still formative, with parents hesitant to put their children in open schooling. It is mainly due to a lack of infrastructure and acceptance in society.

Yet, it has multiple benefits, especially for children taking steps in the learning process.

Therefore, here are some –

Pros Of Home Schooling

The homeschooling process is still new for Indian parents to accept. Here is how you can gain reap its advantages –

  • Strong Relationships

One benefit of homeschooling is that it helps children build strong relationships with their parents. Being the first point of contact, they can allow children to learn different things within a safe environment.

Consequently, for a child to be taught by their parents will help them to understand the objects and subjects. Thus, allowing them to expand their thinking capability.

  • Individualized Learning

Homeschooling allows parents to curate a personalized training plan for their children to help them learn quickly. This is an advantage for parents, as they can schedule each learning plan accordingly.

For example, for the first month, they will learn how to reach and then for the next, how to write. Hence, covering all the bases associated with the learning process.

Even children can decipher difficult concepts easily, as the parents can break down hard words or a sum to ensure a child knows how it is done. These things are found in the best day care center.

Thus, a child can get a one-on-one educational plan that meets all the cognitive and social development requirements.

  • Flexible Learning Process

As mentioned earlier, homeschooling offers a flexible way of teaching a child. A parent can choose to guide children through stories and fables, which can touch on their communication skills.

You can use different educational techniques to enhance their knowledge and how they react to other concepts. Further, they can also add timetables and routines to teach the children at their convenience.

Yet, there are some –

Cons of Home School

Besides the benefits, there are some major disadvantages to homeschooling –

  • Lack Of Facilities

One of the major problems of homeschooling in India is the need for more facilities. It is because the concept is still new in the country. The structure of open schooling still needs to be fully structured.

Therefore, it is a concern for Indian parents while teaching their children in their homes. They won’t get similar digital access or quality teachers, which can create irregular learning processes.

  • Poor Socialization Skill

Another disadvantage of homeschooling is the poor development of a child’s socialization skills. When a child visits a top play school, they interact with different children.

This helps develop empathy and social skills, which are required for interaction.

Hence, as parents seek to teach children within the four walls of a home, they need help learning different interaction methods.

Thus, Ultimately!

Ultimately, we can say that enrolling your child in best day care center is best for social and physical development. Though both home school and play school have pros and cons, it is best to develop children socially.

This will allow us to develop them in a better way.
